The Directorate General of Shipping, Government of India has constituted Seafarers wage review Committee after the consultation with Sailors Union of India SUI-BMS on 13th September 2023. The SUI delegates had a meeting with Shri. Shyam Jagannathan I.A.S, Director General of Shipping on 12th September 2023 to Submit seafarers wage Petition received from thousands of on-board Indian Seafarers who are working in different merchant ships globally.
