Mr. R P Veettil

Founder & National President

Sailors’ Union of India was formed with a strong and non-hindering motive of ensuring the well-being in all respects of the seafarers. With this, bedrock principle, we laid the foundation of the union in 2014. Since then, the union has worked relentlessly to offer immaculate services to our seamen in a seamless manner. I can say, with immense pride and pleasure, that we have left no stone unturned, spared no pains in the discharge of our duties, when it came to the rights of the seafarers. And we continue to do so even today!

As a distinguished member of the Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh, the oldest and largest nationalist labor union, recognized by the Ministry of Labor of India, our primary goal has always been to address and voice out the issues pertaining to the grievances and complaints of the seafarers to the respective authorities for resolutions. We have worked tirelessly, effectively and efficiently to protect the rights and privileges of our seafarers and we shall strive to ensure the fair practice of law and be approachable to every seafarer in despair.

Furthermore, Sailors’ Union of India is committed to look after the welfare of the seafarers in the spheres of health, education, employment and retirement. We are involved in various social work and our efforts are not going unnoticed. It shall not be long before we become the first choice and point of contact for every one belonging to the marine industry.
