The Sailors’ Union of India (SUI-BMS), delegates along with Shri. Deependra Chaahar, General Secretary, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Delhi Pradesh, held a meeting today with Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister for Ports, Shipping & Waterways, regarding the concerns raised over DGS Circular No. 31 of 2025.
The Hon’ble Minister patiently heard the detailed representation made by the Union and has directed the concerned department to examine the matter and take appropriate action at the earliest.
He assured that the issues will be thoroughly discussed with the Director General of Shipping and that a decision will be taken in favour of the aggrieved seafarers and their families.
